December 7th, 2011 Market Recap and Great Trading Rules to Follow

After a morning gap and decent sell pressure in the early afternoon the market rallied off more rumors surrounding Europe and closed flat.

The best read I had today came from Barry Ritholtz who posted a collection of links for Trading Rules, Aphorisms, and Books. Definitely worth bookmarking for later indulging. My favorites:

    Macro-man blog very funny post.

    "Europe and the Bomb".

Blogosphere and the mainstream media(except may be Tom DeMark) remain bearish.

Something is amiss here. The 10 yr. bond yield is red, while risk assets are green.

Oh the market tables... :) They were fairly useful for you readers but man I can't tell you how many times I would forget to update them, forget to add them till last second after I posted, etc. Did you like them for the simplicity or what specifically?

RE bearish sentiment, I have seen mixed both ways. Have you read SentimenTrader before? Fantastic service for analyzing those types of indicators.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've heard of SentimenTrader, but not yet visited the site. Will do that.
Here is one for you. Cobrasmarketview.com. His end-of-day wrap is very good too. He claims over 50,000 hits a day. He'll be charging for the wrap, but intraday discussion wil be free. No intention to pay. Trader Mark is very good too.

TraderMike from fundmymutualfund.com? That site is fantastic. I subscribe to his email updates.

RE Cobra, I am not familiar. On his homepage I am reading a claim of 50k monthly uniques, 50k daily would be like zerohedge's size. Highly unrealistic. Looking at some of his posts... WOW that is a lot of ads! Not sure about this guy. He's no TraderMike ;)

PS another thing I noticed... he claims "unique IPs". Completely different than unique visitors. Bots have IPs, etc.

    Are you in Canada?
