Success, We’ve Reached 10,000 RSS Subscribers!

For any blogger, the first time you hit 100 RSS subscribers is a big deal. Then you decide that 1,000 is your next long term goal, and some eventually get there as well. For those bloggers who eventually pass 1,000, adding one more zero for 10,000 seems very far in the distance.

Well after several years and a lot of writing, StockTradingToGo has reached the infamous 10,000 RSS subscriber mark. 10,010 to be exact!

Looking back at the stats, this blog had its first post on April 6th, 2006 and reached 1000 subscribers on December 14th, 2007 (1 year, 8 months, 8 days later). The 2000 subscriber mark came on January 6th, 2009 (1 year, 23 days later). 2009 was a year of triumph for the site, and not only did it set a record year of traffic but it also added thousands of new subscribers. The last 8,000 subscribers took just 1 year, 20 days to obtain.

My advice for any bloggers just getting started is to keep things as simple as possible. Target those first 100, then go from there. Never quit. If you ever hit a slump, work harder to push through it. The only competition is yourself, and as long as you keep yourself in the game you are always going to be one step closer to success. Have fun and the rest will come with it.

The last thing I want to say is that although posting has slowed down over the last year, I am still very optimistic about the future.
