Wikinvest Wire Members Need to Disable Plugin!
Our site just crashed and it was because of the Wikinvest Wire plugin.
Any financial blogger running this plugin needs to disable it for now in their Wordpress Admin Panel until Wikinvest can resolve the problem.
Your site will not load in IE and will be in an infinite loop with Firefox and Safari until you do so!!
Ive emailed my contacts at Wikinvest and will post updates as they come.
12:53 PM EST Update: Word spreading on twitter, please email any bloggers you know using this plugin and let them know to test their site.
12:55 PM EST Update: Looks like Wikinvest is on the case, sites may now open in IE but “with errors on page”

1:39 PM EST Update: Wikinvest has sounded the alarms. Comment from below,
“Hi guys, Our apologies. We’re able to get Wikinvest WIre sites to load on some browswers but we’re seeing the problem now across many others. Our entire team has thrown in to help fix this. I’ll keep you posted.”
10:00 AM EST Update: Wikinvest emailed all members last night, “Our tech team is currently working hard to fix the issue and has been since it began. We ask for your patience while we work to get the Wire back up for your blogs, and we’ll be sure to let you know shortly when the issue has been resolved. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope our transparency on this matter reassures you that we’re doing everything possible to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”
3:45 PM EST Update: The Wire is back up and running smoothly. Even with the downtime we remain huge fans of Wikinvest. Great work guys.

Hi guys,
Our apologies. We’re able to get Wikinvest WIre sites to load on some browswers but we’re seeing the problem now across many others. Our entire team has thrown in to help fix this. I’ll keep you posted.
Cool thanks Patrick. You gave us a heart attack earlier.
Maybe its fixed now, but I haven’t had any trouble all day.
Ok. We’ve shut down the entire Wire for now while we identify what’s causing this issue internally. We’ll check back in when we’ve identified the fix and have the Wire up and running again.
FYI. The Wire has been back up since last night — you can re-activate now. We have been monitoring through the night and into the morning, and we’ll have an email going out to all our Wire bloggers shortly.
Thanks for you patience, guys.
Perfect, thanks Patrick.
