5 Tools for The Web Savvy Investor
Do you check your stocks online? How about use an online broker or pay your bills? If you do, there are a host of tricks and tools that can save you time and aggravation and make your investment process a better one.
Here are five of them:
1. Roboform - Do you maintain multiple accounts at different brokers and banks? If so, Roboform is a godsend. 2. Free Stock Ticker - Do you need to be able to look at your stocks all the time, but can’t stay logged in to your broker? Free Stock Ticker allows you to create a customized ticker with all your stocks in it, so you can watch your entire portfolio in real time across your desktop or other open window.
3. Google Alerts - Google alerts lets you set up queries based on all different types of criteria and then emails you when something new is found. Try entering a stock quote or the name of a company to receive alerts and news about companies you are investing in or tracking.
4. Stock Quote Search - If you use firefox, then this little plugin allows you to add SeekingAlpha search to your toolbar, so you can type in a stock symbol and get all of the SeekingAlpha investment information with one click.
5. FireStox - is another plugin for Firefox that keeps your portfolio and other info available in your firefox window. Just browse over the numbers in the bottom right bar to get detailed info about your portfolio.
