Zecco Beats Industry Benchmarks for Trade Quality and Speed
Zecco, the $0 stock trades broker, has finished its trade quality and execution research and published the results which were positive across the board. Highlights include execution time of 1.07 seconds average for trades and 59% of orders executed at better prices than the National Best Bid or Offer (aka NBBO).
What most active traders look for is execution time or speed. Execution time is critical for getting the best price because all investors desire the exact bid or ask quote they see live on their screens and not a penny more or less.
Four categories were tested in total with data from January – July 2008. Speed category results are shown below.

I’m sorry but I have to speak up here and say that I opened an account at Zecco a year ago and have been using them for their 10 free trades. They are BY FAR the worst out there. The online platform is complete crap. Please do yourselves a favor and pay for a real broker.
I prefer etrade but I have heard good things about zecco.
I’m not saying Zecco is necessarily the best, but they have changed 300% from where they were last year.
Id say for the better to, they used to have a lot of problems with getting new users up and running for example which they seem to have resolved.
