Its awful when you're in that hole with depression, but I believe you can climb out of it, its a long journey but boy is it worth it, as the suffering and the experience in the long term becomes an asset. Would you agree?

Yeah, I am sure we are in recession, although all these politicians said otherwise, or called it a correction.

Looking at the list, it seems these recession year sequence and durations revolve around finonacci retracement numbers sequence 1,2,3,5,8....etc or twin fibonacci numbers, 2,4,6,10...etc and lucas numbers, 2,1,3,4,7,11...etc which repeats itself in in nature and trading.

Lets pick the last few on the list.
From 1992 to 1997 = 5 years before Asian Financial Crisis(AFC))
From 1991 to 1997 = 6 years from Japanese recession to AFC
From 1992 to late 2000 = 8 years before tech bubble started and lasted 3 years
From 2003 to early 2008 = 5 years ....The global market has lost most of its value since the peak, due to financial meltdown or Credit Bubble? We could be heading down 3 more years to 2011 ? Time will tell! Possibly to short the market after a small bounce .

Hi Blain,
Thanks for posting the list.

Wondering if anyone knows of articles that discussed how long the market took to get back to its previous peak after each of those recession periods?

Many thanks.

Regards,
