NASDAQ 100’s Top 7 Stocks Holding it Together

After watching the market tank this week I became very curious to find out what stocks if any were still holding up within the NASDAQ 100?

So I went through all 100 stocks in the index and pulled aside the stocks that were still trading within 10% of their 52-week price highs. I ended up with only seven stocks which I have listed below. Included is a 52 week stock chart of each.

1. Steel Dynamics (STLD)

STLD is 6.13% off its 52-week highs

2. Costco Wholesale (COST)

COST is 6.61% off its 52-week highs

3. Gilead Sciences (GILD)

GILD is 7.18% off its 52-week highs

4. Staples (SPLS)

SPLS is 7.31% off its 52-week highs

5. Teva Pharmacuetical (TEVA)

TEVA is 9.6% off its 52-week highs

6. Activision (ATVI)

ATVI is 9.62% off its 52-week highs

7. Oracle (ORCL)

ORCL is 9.67% off its 52-week highs

I found this list interesting as there is a good variety of sectors seen. It really is no surprise that a commodity stock is ranked at the top.

What amazes me is the fact that none of those stocks are within 5% of their 52-week highs.

Nasdaq finished down some 1% today with the S&P actually up .1%. Tech is coming down boys!
