Joining The Covestor Team

When I was in London, England last week it wasn’t for pleasure but for business. I was finalizing my paperwork and meeting the brilliant staff of Covestor.com.

I am happy to report that today I officially start my new job as Community Manager for the site.

For those who are unfamiliar with Covestor, it is a financial community centered around helping independent investors prove and hone their skills. Instead of a simulator environment, Covestor pulls your trading results straight from your stock broker to determine how good you really are.

The site was founded by Perry Blacher, Rikki Tahta, and Simon Veingard. Just this past month they completed their series A round of financing, raising $6.5 million dollars.

My role with the site is centered around two main areas: user support and community involvement. User support includes all member emails that come in throughout the day. On the community side I will be posting interviews on the Covestor Blog and through increased interaction with members will be enhancing the overall Covestor experience each and every day.

I am extremely excited to join the Covestor.com team and look forward to a successful road ahead. If you have any questions feel free to email me directly.

Blain,
Nice catch! I wish you well on the new opportunity. Make sure they pay you for what you are worth/ doing. It’s a very time consuming job but rewarding if you get the ball rolling on customer based recommendations. MSW taught me a lot about working/ dealing with customer requests and constant e-mails.

What ever happened with the news about you and Howard launching something? Is that still happening or did I miss it?
