Covestor.com, the community of proven self investors (and also supporter of StockTradingToGo) announced today that they have overhauled their systems to include the addition of brand new blogs for every community member.
I am personally pretty pumped about this new addition, and I am sure many other Covestor members agree with my overall bullish sentiment. Before this blog system was setup member commentary was unorganized and for lack of better words sloppy.
From the announcement post you will find blogs include the following features:
- Full functionality of a regular blog: Full ability to draft, edit, attach (e.g. photo’s, charts) and comment per other blogging software.
- Posts can be attached to positions: Capability to attach posts to individual holdings, or as watchlist ideas, to allow people to see what you are saying alongside what you are actually doing.
- Stock tagging: Select the stock symbols which the post relates to, to help others to find all commentary relating to the stocks they are interested in.
- Previous posts imported: You will see all of your previous commentary on Covestor has been automatically imported and categorized on your Covestor blog.
- Ability to import your external blog/Export your Covestor blog: If you already have a blog you can set it up to import automatically to Covestor, to save you replicating posts on multiple websites.
I shorted some Google today with earnings due out after the bell tomorrow and decided to test the new blog functionality out by contributing rationale on my position. Here is a screenshot of what you see when you write a new blog post on Covestor,

Covestor currently is only open to those with broker accounts, but will in the future open its doors to everyone. If you haven’t checked out the hotest stock community in town yet, head over to Covestor.com, you won’t be disappointed.

Once they allow options, I’ll join them
Funny you mention options, I was just talking to one of their founders on that, I hope to see that added to in the future.
