I got this Microsoft Windows XP error message recently when backing up files on my old computer and thought it was too funny to not post up.

The Windows error came with the heading, “data execution prevention”, followed by, “To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program.”

What was the program though?

Name: Windows Update Automatic Updates
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation

I like how Windows protects itself from itself. The last line reads, “Data execution prevention helps protect against damage from viruses and other security threats.”
