Scottrade Launches New Mutual Funds Center
Scottrade contacted us and is spreading the word on their brand new mutual funds center they just launched. The center will give clients a brand new easy to use screener to search funds, expense information, and even ratings to help clients choose the best one.
From the press release:
” Features of Scottrade’s new Mutual Funds Center include:
- An easy-to-use mutual funds screener that can search funds by availability and other criteria, such as whether a fund is on Scottrade’s no transaction fee platform.
- Detailed Lipper Leader ratings for all mutual funds to help investors select funds that meet their individual investment styles and goals.
- Detailed expense information.
- Real-time customizable charts, with Scottrade SmartText, which describes each chart in plain English.
- A new comparison tool that easily compares up to five mutual funds at a time.”
I recently mentioned their new SmartText Analyzer tool here on the blog as well. I am currently not a Scottrade client so I cannot give my personal review of the new mutual fund center, so read the full press release for more information.

I like their smart text feature, and I just noticed the other day that you can draw trend lines and support/resistance lines on their charts. The site has definitely improved significantly over the past 12 months.
Does anyone have any feedback on what the overall experience is like at Scottrade compared to say an Ameritrade? I have Ameritrade now and like it pretty well, but I know some like Scottrade.
