My favorite from this list is the iShares South Korea, Symbol EWY. The ETF was featured in the IBD today as the South Korea stock market hit new record highs. Beautiful looking chart definitely worth checking out.

Also another note is when I did my scan the Streettracks Gold Trust didn’t pop up, Symbol GLD which has been red hot tracking the price of Gold. GLD is up almost 15% over the last 30 days.

Blain, along with your stock trading, do you keep a balanced portfolio?

I should probably just add this to my bio, but basically since I started the patent I have $0 cash for stock trading. All extra capital I save each month goes to paying off attorney fees. A huge financial commitment for the next two years atleast and by the time I turn 24 I will either A. Have tons of cash to trade stocks (patent gets sold, invested in, etc.) or B. be starting fresh (the patent doesn’t get through). That’s really my “balanced portfolio” in a nutshell twisted

Just checked out EZA, it is up 11.2% over the last 30 days and has a market cap of $430 million, should have shown up on the screener. Just like GLD, weird…

O, found it. The screener is showing EZA up only 9.63% over the last month, not 11.2% (did that calculation manually). So basically EZA JUST missed the list!

EWY is a great looking chart and the South Korean markets look good. EEM has been a strong performing ETF for quite a while and in the long run it should continue to do quite well.

Hey Blain,
That’s cool that you have a pending patent. My wife was granted one in 2006 but the rights are owned by Loreal USA (she is a research chemist there). She got a bonus but it is nothing compared to the revenue they are now pulling in with the product.

I hope it works out!

That is crazy, I have heard of that before where employees give the benefit of the rights by default to the company they work for. Did you get my email btw?

Funny, I finally got a hold of about 80 shares of PBW today. That was the ETF I intended to buy back when I accidentally bought PWB. I waited and finally sold PWB for a small profit and put the order out for PBW.

That day, I put the order at 21.70 (good for 60 days). Then it jumped up 2 pts until today when it dropped a bit. I got it for 23 even (upped my offer yesterday) and have a small profit even with the commission. I guess I got lucky that it dropped below 23 very briefly.

I really don’t research stocks, but I just wanted something in alternative energies. This is a long-term hold, so I’m not worried.
