After the success of the August Top Commentator Challenge, September’s challenge will kick off today to find a new top commentator, with more prizes for the winner.

The September top commentator contest is sponsored by both Covestor.com and Suri Duddella with his new book, Trade Chart Patterns Like the Pros (purchase). Prizes this month are:

  • A Signed Copy of Trade Chart Patterns Like the Pros
  • A Site Review
  • A 512 MB Flashdrive

To be a part of this contest, all you need to do is simply leave comments on individual posts throughout the month. Last month the Financial Blogger won with 43 comments, but I think this record can be broken. I will be posting updates once a week, and I suggest Subscribing to the Feed to stay updated.

There are many perks to being on the top commentator list:

  • A link to your homepage on my sidebar
  • Discounts on Advertising
  • Weekly site mentions
  • I typically start reading your blogs and make mentions of random posts

Online Stock Trading took advantage of the 50% text link discount, and got himself a prime top sidebar text link ad for only $10 for all September. If you were a top commentator last month, take advantage of the 50% coupon and get yourself a text link.

Start leaving those comments, and look for the first update next week.

  1. So in!

    Great contest.

  2. Great ideas Blain to drive more comments/traffic to the site.

  3. Can I still be part of the contest for September?

  4. Sure man, since you already have a flashdrive on the way Ill hook you up with a free text link or something

  5. now we’re talking. I think that next month’s criteria should look at the actual comment content if not just the raw numbers. Just to keep the value of content high.

  6. yay actually the content was very high, it degrades when you need to play “catch up” and post like 10 comments in 10 minutes (ive done this so many times  )

  7. it’s just because you have an active blog. I’ve had you on my rss feed since the begining, noticed that it keeps getting better. Who knows, if you get REALLY good at this you won’t need to trade, just blog to make a decent living! ha!!

but you gotta get the content somewhere….. back to the trading room!

  8. Blain, I think you should put a date and time for the end of the contest. I am pretty sure you will see your comments jump on the last half hour of the contest

  9. last half hour?!! what about the past 26 days!!! :)
