Short Da Bull Site Review
I have the opportunity today to conduct a reviewme for ShortDaBull.com, which is a Digg like site dedicated to the stock market. The site is new and is just starting to build its community of investors.
The Setup
The site is setup very similar to digg, in that the homepage contains a list of the latest hottest stories from around the web. Votes determine what gets placed and what gets “buried” or put down popularity wise. As the site continues to gain ground the total number of votes will be lower to get a post to the front page, but I am sure in time it may become a difficult task.
Anyone can become a member, and actually registration is a very simple, straightforward, and east. I just registered myself as stocktrading101 and it took perhaps 30 seconds to complete start to finish. Right now the community has less than 100 members, but I am sure we can help out with that.

Categories
Unlike Digg where there are a wide variety of categories, ShortDaBull has a focused category selection based solely on investing and the stock market:
- Business Stories
- General Market News
- Investing Advice
- Market Blogs
- Offbeat Wall Street Stories
- Personal Finance
- Specific Stock Thoughts
- Stock Picks
- Trader Tools
- Fun Stuff (Non Market Related)
Visual Appeal, Professionalism
The coding done for the site is actually pretty impressive, and also very clean. I have yet to run into any glitches with the layout, and granted I am not a coder by any means beyond simple CSS style sheets and Wordpress themes, but I think it looks good overall.
Though mentioning again, it really reminds me exactly of digg because of the whole layout and setup. The site is pretty self-explanatory when it comes to its use which is a plus, and anyone with information to share really holds value.
Outlook and Potential
I think the site has a good shot at becoming an effective means of finding the latest information relating to investing and the stock market. The site is setup nicely, and the posts I have seen published thus far look pretty relevant to Wall Street.
It will be interesting to see how a site like this turns out if masses of people start utilizing it. Will it get overwhelmed by people pumping penny stocks or will it be a place to find the latest Wall Street news? I guess time will tell the story…

Sounds like a great idea even if it is a lot like digg. I will check it out. Thanks for all your great ideas!
