Guess the Nasdaq Close IV, 1st Update
The 4th bi-weekly stock contest is now officially in full force as we brought in entries all over the finance blogosphere this past weekend. Stock Contest Alpha (III) brought in a record 20 contestants two weeks ago, and for that I was pretty excited. But, this time that record has been smashed, and we have a total of 38 contestants for this time around, “It’s on!”
Contest Overview
For those who are just joining us, contests are every other week (bi-weekly) here at ST101, and this contest was to simply guess what you think the NASDAQ composite index will close at on this upcoming Friday, April 27th, 2007. A perfect guess will win you a cool $100 CASH from yours truly, me! Last contest Brandon from our community was off by only 94 cents! We have three communities (including us here at ST101) who have pooled atleast 5+ entries together within their community. Cleverdude.com (CD) and milliondollarjourney.com (MDJ) are the two other communities. Alongside individual guesses, communities earn points for having the best overall average for all of their member picks together. Updates are delivered throughout the week here on the blog, so subscribe to the feed and keep up to date, alright?!

- Fab – MDJ – 2524.86 – off by only 1.19!
- A J from – ST101 – 2525.25 – off by only 1.58!
- Tie between Darlene Kaus (2521.84) and Stingy Joe (2525.5) – MDJ – Both off by only 1.84!
- Matador – ST101 – 2521.35 – off by only 2.32!
The best overall community average as of the close today is MDJ with an average difference of only 7.64 off the close!
