Stock Contest Alpha, 1st Update!
While writing this 1st update I want to let everyone know that the initial excitement for this post came from the Super Mario Brothers theme song, crazy how music can get the blood flowing! Being inspired, I came up with the idea to signify this stock contest as “alpha”, as I plan on having a few of these contests (as long as everyone is cool with it, null it over would ya?). What we have today is the announcement of our contenders, quick overview of what the heck this is about, and then some some more unecessary jargon from me.
Stock Contest Alpha Overview
Very simple, this stock contest has brought together various bloggers in the financial arena, and asked their communities for stock picks. Each contestant chose one stock pick that they think will perform wonders this week, alongside a guess of what they think the Nasdaq Composite Index will close at on Friday this week, the 13th. I will be tracking the best picks and closest guesses, alongside the best overall community (highest return average on picks). This game is so easy a monkey could play… wait, I think that has already happened once… anyways…
The Contenders
This stock contest here at Stock Trading 101 is a first for its kind, because we have individual blogger communities getting involved. So first, let’s share some link lovin by announcing the blogs involved in the battle royal:
And, of course my community here at Stock Trading 101 is in this mix. Even with Easter weekend distracting a bunch of potential participants, we had about 20 which is great! Now, to type out what EVERYONE has picked and guess would take me atleast 20 minutes, and to be honest, Qdoba is on my mind right now, so that simply isn’t going to happen. BUT, what I will do is share with you the names and websites of those involved! So, here is that list:

Getting Involved, Staying Up to Date
Your opportunity to get into this stock contest Alpha has ended, BUT if you stay up to date and ontop of this blog, I’d say you have a very good shot at getting in next time!
