Stock Trading Contest, It’s ON!

Anyone else here recall the original Jock Jams CD, the one where they start off with that announcer saying, “LLLLLETTTTSS GET READY TO RUMMMBBBLLLEEEEE!!!” Well, now is the time to pull out that cd (in fact the song is embeded below) because today is the start of the next Stock Trading contest! We have had a handful of contests here on ST101, from guessing the nasdaq close, to eMom vs all, but this one is the craziest yet, because it this time the party isn’t JUST here on ST101, oh no. This time we have multiple blogger communities joining in, making this a true Stock Picking battle royal!

To join, Simply pick a stock that you think will increase the most next week ALONG WITH the predicted NASDAQ closing price on Friday April 13, 2007. Leave your answers in the comments of this post, and they will be tracked here at Stock Trading 101.

There are 3 ways to win, you can have the best performing stock pick, the closest NASDAQ closing price, or the best overall community average (all of our community picks avg’d together). Know though your entry must be submitted by Sunday April 8th at 8:59 PM EST, no exceptions! I have to go around and make a massive spreadsheet and get the first update up, so get those picks in below!

THE DETAILS

  1. The contest runs from Monday the 9th - Friday the 13th
  2. To enter simply submit via comment ONE stock pick (ticker), and what you think the Nasdaq will close at on Friday the 13th. All stock picks must be over $1 and can’t be pink sheets!
  3. All Entries must be in by Sunday April 8th, 8:59 PM EST
  4. It is Our Community versus the others (list of participants below), so you can’t submit entries on two communities, pick a side (mine) and support the fight!
  5. Three ways to win, top stock pick, closest nasdaq close, or best overall community pick average.

WHO IS INVOLVED?

Communities that are set to be joining this stock picking battle royal include Million Dollar Journey, Derrich.com, Money Matter and More Musings, Clever Dude, and Investoid.

KEEP UPDATED

All of the updates next week are going to be right here on Stock Trading 101, so I suggest you get yourself subscribed to this party with your favorite reader or by email! The first will come Sunday night the 8th after I compile all the entries in a nifty excel sheet.

GET READY TO RUMBLE
