Some stocks thus far today that are moving well ahead of the indices:

• Manitowoc Co (MTW) - After bouncing intra-day off its $55.50 support line yesterday, the stock gapped up this morning and hasn’t looked back. MTW is up real time as of 10:42 AM EST at a new intra-day high of $58.59 putting the stock up just over 5%. Volume is above 300,000. Manitowoc has been tracked since before its breakout above $56 two weeks ago.
• Holly Corporation (HOC) – After a strong volume, mediocre day yesterday, Holly HOC is climbing nicely today. The stock is up over 3% or $1.58 to a 10:45:24 EST realtime last of $52.75. Volume is closing in on 200,000 fast. HOC may become a strong player as Oilgas comes back into favor.
• Baidu.com (BIDU) - The stock is up over 3 points, or over 3% trading above $112 with a intra-day high thus far of $114.10. Volume on Baidu is over 1.2 million, and continue to climb.
• U S Global Investors (GROW) – Has had a nice run so far today, and is up over nearly $1.5 or just over 3%. The stock is trading above $50, with a high on the day of $51 even. Volume is over 300,000.
