Just posted earlier on NVEC being up 9% today, you as a trader could have banked off this play due to the bull flag NVEC raised on Friday. NVEC has been trading in a range of roughly $39 to $43, and after climbing as high as $42.84 midday Friday, the stock sold off and closed [...]

NVEC Pays Off Big, Now Basing Out

Posted on October 27, 2006 at 12:29 am

After buying a position for my clients under $32, the run to $43 was huge, powered mostly by strong earnings. I sold half my position at $42.80, then the rest at $42.07. That same day the stock moved down as low as $39 (10/24). The last few days the stock has bounced around $39-$41, and [...]

Wednesday gave us volume and a rise in price, leaving the NYSE and Nasdaq with accumulation days.  FOMC announcement stayed pretty much true to the prior statement giving the market some relief for no change and comfort that things are where they should be.  Keeping inflation contained and [...]

Federal Reserve 2006 Last Meeting

Posted on October 25, 2006 at 2:47 pm

The Feds decide to keep rates paused in the last meeting of the year today, which was predicted and accounted for. The market at first rallied then pulled back, but now has pulled up into the green, with the Nasdaq leading the way % wise up almost a half a percent. 5.25% is the magic [...]
