Earnings Plays This Week

- Oregon Steel (OS) is expected to blow out earnings this week, and the downgrade on Friday is just a buying opportunity for this Steel producing machine. Anything below $54 is a strong buy in my books, earnings are due out this upcoming Friday.
- Alaska Air (ALK) reports Tuesday, and is a strong buy with earnings due out Tuesday, if you need reassurance just look at Continental Airlines (CAL) and AMR (AMR), who both reported stellar quarters.
- Allegheny Technologies (ATI) reports Wednesday before the bell, and is another Steel Industry prospect. Fund ownership gives this winner away, with 202 in Sep-05, 222 in Dec-05, 259 in Mar-06, and 291 in Jun-06. I say ATI goes to $90 by week’s end.
