It has been a wild ride for Stock Trading 101 as a independent blog, starting originally at blogger.com, then moving to wordpress at a new site, and now ending up here (not to mention the numerous templates it has had), the journey has been interesting. And, just yesterday the paperwork was signed, hands shook, and Stock Trading 101 merged with the Falkin Investing Organization as the official market commentary blog. Not only is this a great victory for the blog overall, but it is great for all 100+ RSS readers and the numerous daily traffic. To explain more about what exactly happened and what will be different now I will post up some of the Q and As.

Q: Is Stock Trading 101 still Stock Trading 101?

A: Yes, the feed will still be listed under feedburner with the same title, and to the blogosphere and search engines Stock Trading 101 will still be used as the name. But, within the site and when you are reading, the blog will be known as the “market commentary” area for falkininvesting.com. So, same feed, same name for search engines, but different feel for the blog overall.

Q: I’ve noticed new posters on the blog, is this because of the change?

A: Yes, there are now multiple writers for the blog, and actually more will be added in the near future. You will find the best talented members within the communty writing for the blog, and the overall market coverage will expand to cover much more.

Q: Will you still be writing for the blog?

A: That I will! I am definately going to continue to write my random Jim Cramer “Mady Money” recaps and the like. The writers the FIO has and are bringing on board are outstanding, and I am honored to team up with them.

Q: What about the Newsletter?

A: I am unsure what will happen with subscribers regarding the newsletter I had. Most likely the list will get transferred to the Falkin Investing Organization staff and will be added into the FIO monthly newsletter. Any new subscribers to the newsletter are now added to the FIO newsletter.

Q: What is the Falkin Investing Organization?

A: The Falkin Investing Organization is a non-profit organization within the United States, and currently has 501c (3) status pending. The Organization was founded on December 22nd, 2005 as a way to promote stock market education and connect traders from all experience levels together under one roof. They are best known for their stock forum and educational programs such as the 5 Step Program (which I head).

So with all of that said, thank you to all readers that have supported my blog since its infancy, and I look forward to the future working directly with the Falkin Investing Organization. If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact me!

To the future,

Blain
