Stock Lingo: Dummy Shareholder

Some random stock lingo to close out a random weekend (at least it was here in Michigan!) via investopedia.co,.

A dummy shareholder is a shareholder who holds shares in his or her own name but they are really owned by someone else.

The only example given was of a husband holding shares for his spouse. I guess that makes sense.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.
