Tradingmarket.com Stock Followup

Posted by Blain Reinkensmeyer on Saturday June 24, 2006

On Thursday I posted seven stock picks from Brice Wightman over at tradingmarkets.com to watch for Friday. I said I would do a followup post on how well his picks performed, so here you go (note that the market closed about even friday):

  1. His first pick, Oracle (ORCL) finished Friday up $.57 or about 4% to $14.90, the stock had a really nice day and the chart is looking pretty bullish.
  2. OSI Pharmaceuticals (OSIP) finished up $.16 or .51% to $31.76.
  3. Smart Modular (SMOD) had a huge day gapping up to an impressive 8% gain finishing the day at $9.18. Nice call Brice.
  4. Solectron (SLR) also had a nice day finishing up 4.24% closing at $3.43. The stock was down $.01 after hours.
  5. The big picks kept coming with Synnex (SNX) which had an extremely impressive 8.25% move closing out the day at $19.29, wow. The stock ran early morning as high as $19.95.
  6. 8% not enough for you? Try over 15% gains on Blackboard (BBBB) which has a stellar day, up $3.70 to a $28.02 close.
  7. What would have been a perfect record was shattered though by Tektronix (TEK) which was down 7.50% to a $27.99 close.

6 out of 7 picks were on the money for tradingmarkets.com, and I think we will keep an eye on them in our stock picks category from now on, nice work guys.
