“Mad Money” Recap - Gas and Cash Kings
Tonight’s “Mad Money” episode had Jim talking natural gas and he is thinking there are some good buying opportunities now available. Value hunting is the direction Jim went for today (which seems to have become a trend since the market began its horrible nosedive back in early May) in the “cold” sectors of the market.
What is Jim’s big pick in the natural gas arena? Jim recommends you get your hands on Carrizo Oil & Gas (CRZO) which is a company based in Houston Texas. Apparently they produce natural gas through bacteria breakdown, works for me I guess. As of December 05 the company operated over 100 oil and gas producing wells.
Some Other stocks Jim Cramer brought up today early in the show:
- WCI Communities (WCI) as a bottom play coming off of yesterday’s show. Basically put, the downside risk is slim on this stock currently and has a good shot at retracting back up.
- Reader’s Digest (RDA) was another stock that Jim went into for actually a good chunk of time covering alot about what the company has been up to. This includes the fact that the stock is at its 52-week low but has a great new management team.
- Jim mentioned CBS (CBS), Disney (DIS), News Corp (NWS), and Comcast (CMCSA) all as stocks he currently likes. So, might as well keep an eye on them for any movement.
King of Cash
The three king’s of cash according to Jim today are Apple Computer (AAPL), Cnooc (CEO), and Schering-Plough (SGP). He also mentioned Sears Holdings (SHLD) and Deutsche Telekom (DT) as two other “great cash stocks”.
The 2nd half the of the show Jim brought in Tim Newkirk who is the COO of MGP Ingredients (MGPI) and talked to him for a few minutes, then had the lightning round.
