Stock Market Lingo

For the weekend I figured I’d go with a more unseen term that is used typically only during the period of time before a company has its IPO:

“Booster Shot”

An underwriter will use “booster shot” as a way to reinforce attractiveness of a new issue of stock. This is a way to promote the IPOs strength. Definately some good stock lingo for everyone to be aware of. Booster shot anyone?
