Stock Trading Lesson Official Course Listing
As of 05 - 14 - 06 this is the official list of stock lessons you can request to have with me during our stock session. If you are not on my mailing list I suggest you join it (top left corner) so you can get the latest updates to this list and also obtain 1st priority scheduling.
An Introduction to the Stock Market�
What is the Stock Market? � What are stocks? Why do companies issue shares? What is an IPO? A great course for learning what the market is all about.
Market Basics 101 � Introduces the 3 major market indices, the 3/4ths rule, and basic trading principles (can be related to Step 1 of the �5 Step Program�)
Market Strategy 101 � Introduces technical and fundamental analysis and their importance in the marketplace.
Trading Process and Execution�
The Trading Process � From finding a company to buying a stock, how do I know what to buy? Introduces and summarizes the trading process start to finish.
Introduction to Order Types � Introduces the types of orders to buy and sell shares: market orders, limit order, stop order, and stop limit orders.
Advanced Order Placement Strategy � Strategy for effectively using orders to buy and sell stock. Covers ways to get the most out of each trade we make. (Must complete Intro to Order Types or teacher approval)
Stock Chart Interpretation�
Chart Introduction � What is a stock chart? This course introduces charts in an easy to understand way. Learn how stock charts are made up and their role in research.
Stock Chart Basics 101 � Introduces stock chart analysis, covering how to read daily and weekly charts and the basics behind interpreting flow.
Stock Chart Basics 202 � Goes into the KISS aspects of chart analysis: Moving averages, volume, and advanced chart flow. (Must complete VM101 and SCB101, or teacher approval)
Key Terms�
Technical Terms � Introduces basic technical terms and their importance in the marketplace.
Fundamental Terms 101 � Introduces basic fundamental terms and their importance in the marketplace.
Fundamental Terms 202 � Goes deeper into fundamental terms and covers ways to effectively utilize them in market research.
Volume and its Meaning 101 � Covers what volume is, how it ties in with the market, and basic strategies for trading.
Volume and its Meaning 202 � Covers advanced volume interpretation, introducing accumulation and distribution days and their importance in the market.
Moving Averages � Introduces the 50 and 200 day moving averages and their role in technical analysis.
Trading Strategy�
Trading Strategy Review � Have your own style of trading? I�d love to hear about it! Talking strategy and expanding on personal style can be extremely productive.
Penny Stock Strategy � Ever wanted to trade penny stocks? Get the lowdown on the core concepts behind it and some tips that may just save your nest egg from cracking.
